Description

Cenforce-100 contains sildenafil citrate, an oral PDE5 inhibitor indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. It supports erectile response by enhancing blood flow to penile tissue during sexual stimulation, but it does not work in the absence of sexual arousal.

Indications

Indicated for:

Treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men
Support of erectile function when sexual stimulation is present.

Dosage & Administration

Administration: Oral use, with or without food.
For erectile dysfunction, official sildenafil labeling states that the recommended dose for most patients is 50 mg taken as needed about 1 hour before sexual activity. It may be taken 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity, and the dose may be adjusted to 25 mg or 100 mg based on response and tolerability. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. In older adults, severe renal impairment, hepatic impairment, or certain drug-interaction settings, a 25 mg starting dose should be considered. Because Cenforce-100 is a high-strength presentation, it should be used only according to a prescriber’s direction.

Mechanism of Action

Sildenafil works by inhibiting PDE5, the enzyme responsible for the breakdown of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum. During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide increases cGMP levels; sildenafil helps preserve this effect, promoting smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood inflow to penile tissue. At recommended doses, sildenafil has no effect without sexual stimulation.

Precautions

Important precautions:

Contraindicated with nitrates or nitrites because sildenafil can significantly potentiate their blood-pressure-lowering effect.
Do not use with guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat.
Use caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, since sexual activity itself may carry cardiac risk.
Use caution with alpha-blockers, antihypertensives, ritonavir, and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, as dose adjustments or lower starting doses may be needed.
Advise patients to seek immediate medical care for prolonged erection, sudden vision loss, or sudden hearing decrease/loss.

Common side effects may include:
