📝 Description

Revive Inspire GLOW GHK-Cu is a sterile, clear, distinctively blue-tinted solution formulated for subcutaneous administration. The active constituent, GHK-Cu, is a naturally occurring plasma tripeptide (glycine-histidine-lysine) possessing a highly specific affinity for copper(II) ions. This biologically active formulation serves as a targeted cellular messenger designed to address age-associated systemic depletion, providing potent tissue-remodeling, anti-aging, and regenerative therapy.

Indications

  • Dermal Rejuvenation: For the mitigation of deep fine lines, age-related tissue laxity, and advanced photodamage.

  • Tissue Engineering & Repair: Acceleration of connective tissue remodeling, wound healing, and post-procedural recovery (e.g., following micro-needling, laser treatments, or chemical peels).

  • Follicular Enhancement: Management of age-associated alopecia to improve scalp circulation, reverse follicle miniaturization, and reduce excessive hair shedding.

  • Extracellular Matrix Optimization: Therapeutic restoration of systemic collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycan density.

Dosage & Administration

  • Route of Administration: Subcutaneous injection only (typically into the abdominal or femoral adipose tissue layer).

  • Standard Adult Dosage: Individualized clinical dosing ranging between 1mg to 2mg injected once daily.

  • Administration Instructions:

    1. Maintain strict aseptic technique; swipe the injection site with an alcohol prep pad before administration.

    2. If utilizing a multi-dose vial configuration for reconstitution, use 3mL of sterile bacteriostatic water. Rotate gently until the lyophilizate dissolves into a uniform blue solution. Do not shake violently.

    3. Ensure rotation of injection sites to minimize local lipodystrophy or tissue irritation.

Mechanism of Action

GHK-Cu operates directly as a biochemical modulator of tissue repair and cellular gene expression via several distinct therapeutic pathways:

  • Fibroblast Activation: Directly stimulates dermal fibroblasts to accelerate the synthesis of Type I and Type III procollagen, elastin, and structural proteoglycans (such as decorin).

  • Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMP) Modulation: Regulates the balance between MMPs and their inhibitors, effectively clearing damaged collagen fragments from injured sites while promoting healthy, organized tissue remodeling rather than scarring.

  • Gene Expression Shift: Downregulates pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as $IL-6$ and $TNF-\alpha$) while upregulating vital antioxidant defense enzymes (such as superoxide dismutase) to reverse cellular senescence.

Precautions & Contraindications

  • Contraindications: Absolute contraindication in individuals with confirmed hypersensitivity to copper-binding peptides or any component of the formulation. Not indicated for patients diagnosed with Wilson’s Disease or other genetic disorders affecting copper metabolism.

  • Pregnancy & Lactation: Safety has not been established in pregnant or nursing women. Avoid therapeutic use during these periods.

  • Trace Metal Interferences: Avoid the concurrent over-supplementation of high-dose oral copper or zinc products unless clinically supervised, as this can disrupt physiological trace metal homeostasis.

Side Effects

  • Local Reactivity: Transient injection-site erythema, mild localized swelling, tenderness, or bruising.

  • Systemic Toxicity (Rare): Mild, self-limiting headaches, short-duration nausea, or fatigue upon initial initiation of therapy.

  • Copper Fluctuation Symptoms: Excessive, unmonitored dosing can cause lethargy or blood pressure fluctuations. Discontinue therapy immediately if systemic adverse symptoms manifest.

Storage & Stability

  • Unreconstituted / Sealed Storage: Store under refrigeration between 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). Protect from prolonged exposure to light.

  • Post-Reconstitution / In-Use Stability: Following reconstitution or first puncture of the delivery system, the solution must be stored strictly under refrigeration (2°C to 8°C) and used within 28 days.

  • Safety Warning: Do not freeze. Discard the pen or vial immediately if the solution loses its characteristic clear blue tint, exhibits discoloration, or contains visible particulate matter. Keep out of the reach of children.
